I'll be back - Froch
Carl Froch believes he can still emerge from the Super Six tournament with two world title belts around his waist despite a heartbreaking defeat by Mikkel Kessler on Saturday.
The previously unbeaten Englishman lost his WBC super-middleweight crown to Kessler after a unanimous points decision in Herning, but victory in his third and final Super Six group stage match against Arthur Abraham would enable him to move into the semi-finals and then possibly the final.
Should he go all the way, Froch would earn the chance to fight not only for his old WBC title but also the WBA belt, which is currently held by America's Andre Ward, and he said: "I can still be undisputed champion in my next three fights, let's not forget that. This fight is going to make me stronger, better and more determined."
He added: "I'll be back. I'm fighting Abraham next and I'm going to book my place in the semi-final of the Super Six.
"I'm definitely still in it. A win against Arthur Abraham, which is more than possible, will keep me in it.
"That was my 27th professional fight and I'm going to grow and learn from it.
"I backed off Kessler a couple of times and I shouldn't have.
"I should have stayed on him, showed the venom, put the shots together and got him out of there. And I didn't. I am guilty of that. But it was a very close fight which could have gone either way."
