Promoters Sauerland Events insist they have yet to decide where to stage Carl Froch's Super Six World Boxing Classic clash with Mikkel Kessler.
The Nottingham fighter's WBC super-middleweight title defence and second Super Six fight is set to take place in Denmark on April 17 but the exact venue remains up in the air. Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy has been fighting for the contest to be held in Copenhagen after Kessler's handlers Sauerland apparently turned their attention to the Danish outpost of Herning.
"Despite reports on certain websites, no decision has been taken about the venue for the biggest fight in Danish history between the 'Viking Warrior' Mikkel Kessler and Carl 'The Cobra' Froch," a statement from Sauerland said on Thursday.
"Team Sauerland and Hennessy Sports are close to reaching a decision which will be formally announced in the nearest future."
