Tyson Fury claims Wladimir Klitschko re-match will take place on October 29

Tyson Fury has claimed his re-match with Wladimir Klitschko is set to be rescheduled for October 29.

The WBO and WBA heavyweight champion was previously in line to make the first defence of his titles on Saturday at the Manchester Arena, until an ankle injury forced the fight's postponement.

Shortly after that development, the Sunday Mirror reported he was the subject of a doping investigation - an allegation Fury denied in a statement.

October had long been discussed as a potential new date, and posting a picture in which the 27-year-old looked - by his standards - to be in impressive condition, he wrote on Twitter: "Sixteen weeks Saturday 'till I blast Klitschko spark out.

"#Andstill! Can't wait #manchesteroctober29 #letshaveit."
